| Far far away, behind the word mountains |
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. |

Obama's decision to kill NASA's Constellation program to launch astronauts into orbit and return Americans to the moon has signaled to the world that the U.S. is incapable of prioritizing national functions. It is official. We had the most innovative economy and people on the planet but we lack the leadership to realize their potential.
This is a symptom of the corruption and inability of the executive and legislative branches to lead. We have billions upon billions to fund corrupt community organizers and little or no money to maintain a viable space program. We have billions to try terrorists in New York but no money to do base R&D.
Talk is cheap. There is plenty of talk on this decision and it is all political. "As with all great human achievements, our commitment to space must be renewed and encouraged or we will surely be surpassed by other nations who are presently challenging our leadership in space," Democratic and Republican members of the U.S. Congress from Florida wrote to Obama recently.
Obama seeks a greater private sector role in space launches but offers no real plan to monetize the commercial potential of NASA. He has decided that community organizers are more important than technology, and scientists. He spent tens of billions to keep union jobs at GM and has no money to employ scientists.
Those of "you” in the alleged high tech industry such as in Google, who couldn't wait to support and vote for Obama, should be outraged at this decision. "You" are the main benefactors of base R&D work done by the federal government in the past. Without the federal government's creation of the internet, "You" would have nothing. All the server technology that you are dependent upon was created by government R&D. Without the future from space technology your current business model will be in serious jeopardy. In that case, you should not take such a hardline stance against China related to your current hacking attack as you will have to look to them in the future for the base technology you will need to succeed.
Employees at major space complexes in Alabama and Texas are also worried.
Obama will travel to the Cape Canaveral area on April 15 to host a space conference with top officials and leaders in the field. Everyone of Obama's public conferences have been staged events. Health care summits and small business conferences were populated by cheering lackeys who had no idea of what to do or to even discuss the issues. It was all a show for those naive enough not to figure out that they were being conned.
We had one of our members monitor the entrants to the Obama Small Business conference in Allentown, Pa. The member and six other, real small business people, applied for tickets and never heard back. There were a lot of people there from Unions and all the obligatory political hacks but only a handful of actual business people and none were permitted to ask any questions because all of them were prescreened.
We know what will happen on April 15th.
Taking NASA public is the only viable option. The idea will be lucky if it is even mentioned as a viable alternative. The TakeNASAPublic goal must be to continue on our present path and to gain more members and more public exposure.
Perhaps all the NASA employees soon to be out of work might become ardent supporters?
Maybe as some members have suggested, we should all start teaching our children to speak Chinese.
